Wax Carving evening course (10 and 5 weeks)

In this 5 or 10 weeks class you will learn how to make beautiful jewellery with ancient Lost Wax technique. You will create your items first in special jewellery wax which then will be casted in the metal of your choice (silver, bronze, gold). You will also learn how to clean and finish your metal jewellery.  

This class is suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced jewellers who would like to learn a new technique in depth.

(Please note that the price of the metal is not included in the fee).

Porcelain in Jewellery evening course (10 or 5 weeks)

This is the course for students who would like to learn about porcelain in jewellery. Porcelain is a fascinating material and is very well suited for jewellery practice. The advantage of this class is that there will be firings every week so you would be able to have finished pieces every week. It will help you to make informed decision and progress further with your next designs. In this course you will learn about different ways of clay forming, slip casting, colour in porcelain (here we will use both stains and glazes), decals, lustres and other decorative techniques. This class is suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced jewellers who would like to learn a new technique.
 

You are welcome to my jewellery studio to learn how to make an Eco sterling silver ring from scratch. It is easy and fun and accessible for complete beginner.

We will be using Eco recycled silver in this workshop.
Eco silver is an eco-friendly alternative which is manufactured using recycled silver from the jewellery, giftwarey, medical and electronic industries, meaning it is 100% recycled, traceable and audited.

Ring Making - Wax carving for beginners

Ring Making is suitable for people without any previous experience with jewellery but also for jewellers who would like to learn new technique. During this workshop you will learn how to carve jewellery from special waxes and how to prepare your pieces for casting.

Porcelain in Jewellery

The only porcelain in jewellery course in Scotland. This workshop is suitable for both beginners and experienced jewellers who would like to try new material. You will learn about different clay techniques and how to make jewellery from porcelain.

On first day I will be introducing various types of clay, how to work with clay, firings, various decorative techniques and colouring.  Your testing pieces which would be then fired overnight for you to inform your learning next day.

On second day we will design and make your final jewellery pieces and learn to assembly the pieces into wearable jewellery.

AMULETS and TALISMANS

People were using jewellery for ‘magical’ purposes since the beginning of the civilization. In the past, people associated the objects they wear close to their body with certain symbolism or protection.  How would talisman look today?

Wax Carving & Sculpting with Stones

This class is suitable for people without any previous experience with jewellery but also for jewellers who would like to learn new technique. You will learn how to work with special waxes – you will learn variety of carving and sculpting techniques and how to incorporate stone into your pieces

Make Yor Own Wedding Ring

Do you really want to celebrate your big day with massproduced rings made by childlabor in Asia? You can do better! You can make your own.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners. You will learn how to design and make your ring by using lost wax technique. You will learn basics of wax carving and sculpting and develop your design skills. Your final design will be then casted in Sterling Silver (or other metal if recquired).
